Active Day Commences Operating three Hamilton County Adult Centers

TREVOSE, PA – May 1, 2017 – Active Day, the largest operator of adult day health service centers in the United States, announced it began operating three adult day centers in Ohio previously managed by the Hamilton County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The three newly acquired centers are located in Cincinnati, OH and are well established in their respective communities serving over 400 members in aggregate.

“These three centers have an exemplary track record of providing high quality care and services to younger adults for over 35 years,” said Craig Mehnert, COO for Active Day.  “It was an honor to be selected by Hamilton County to assume these programs. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition so all members will continue to receive the highest level of care from the staff they have come to know and who know them.  We welcome our new members and employees to the Active Day family.”

With the addition of these centers, Active Day now operates a total of 86 centers in 12 states. Reflecting Active Day tradition, the newly acquired centers will be known as Active Day – Beckman, Active Day – Franks and Active Day – Kidd.

Designed to be a cost effective alternative to home health services, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, Active Day’s state-of-the-art centers offer a daytime program of nursing care, social services, nutritious meals, work opportunities and therapeutic activities for elderly and developmental disabled adults.  Each of our adult day health centers enables frail, elderly and disabled adults to live at home and remain independent in their communities, while receiving health care and supervision during the day, as well as providing relief and respite for caregivers.
