Active Day Acquires Adult Care of Chester County Kennett Square Center

TREVOSE, PA – November 1, 2017 – Active Day, the leading provider of adult day health services, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Adult Care of Chester County’s (ACCC) Kennett Square Center effective November 1st. With this new addition to its portfolio, the company expands its ability to enrich the lives of seniors and disabled adults in the five-county Philadelphia area.

This well-established center, which will be re-branded as Active Day of Kennett Square, will join the twelve Active Day centers already operating in Pennsylvania. This includes its former sister center in Exton, which was acquired in a previous transaction in August. “We are thrilled to grow our presence in Pennsylvania, particularly in Chester County, where we will continue to deliver on the organization’s commitment to provide the best quality services,” said Craig Mehnert, President. “We welcome our new members and employees to the Active Day family.”

Designed to be a cost effective alternative to home health services, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, Active Day’s state-of-the-art centers offer a daytime program of nursing care, social services, nutritious meals and therapeutic activities for elderly and disabled adults. Each of our adult day health centers enables frail, elderly and disabled adults to live at home and remain independent in their communities, while receiving health care and supervision during the day, as well as providing relief and respite for caregivers.
